Swedish YouTube Phenomenon Henrik Jönsson Exposes Brussels
One of Sweden’s leading political influencers, Henrik Jönsson, is now turning his attention to Brussels. With over 150,000 followers on YouTube, Jönsson is launching a new series called “The Fall of Europe?” aimed at an English-speaking audience, in collaboration with the free-market think tank Environment and Public Health Institute (EPHI).

In the first episode, Jönsson critically examines Europe’s climate policies and their impact on the European automotive industry. The conclusion is grim: Europe is currently jeopardizing its car manufacturing sector and handing over the keys to China, with geopolitical implications.
Jönsson highlights the Swedish failed battery manufacturer Northvolt, a green deal flagship project backed by EU funds that is now on the brink of collapse.
“I believe that European citizens do not fully grasp the magnitude of the climate policies that all countries are now obliged to implement and the consequences these will have for jobs and growth,” says Henrik Jönsson.
“Europe is suffering from low growth, weak public finances, and chronic overregulation. I hope that our YouTube series ‘The Fall of Europe?’ will raise awareness about the epic challenges Europe is facing,” he adds.
In this series, Jönsson interviews prominent thinkers and politicians, including the American author Michael Shellenberger on censorship, the nuclear power expert Andrei Goicea about Europe’s energy supply and Cyprus’s leading YouTuber, Member of European Parliament Fidias Panayiotou on the threat to social media.
“Our ambition is to critically examine European politics in an inspiring way. We are aiming to engage the public in the decision making of the EU – and to get the politicians of Brussels to understand the reality of the people of Europe” says Marie Söderqvist, Director of EPHI.
New episodes will be released on the YouTube channel "Fall of Europe" every Wednesday starting February 19, 2025.
About the Series
“The Fall of Europe?” is EPHI and Henrik Jönsson’s first initiative targeting an English-speaking audience and the second collaboration following the successful production of Swedish talk show “100%”. Executive Producer is Marie Söderqvist, Director of EPHI.
