HMAX Solutions Portfolio Overview

Today, social infrastructure operators face growing challenges as the number and complexity of facilities and systems requiring maintenance and management continue to increase, while labor shortages and the declining availability of skilled personnel intensify.

To help address these challenges, attention is turning to Physical AI, which can understand real-world operational conditions and support autonomous decision-making and control. However, implementing Physical AI requires that operational data and tacit knowledge possessed by experienced personnel is extracted, accumulated, and integrated into forms that AI can interpret. It also requires the foundations and security needed to support continuous operations, as well as data centers that underpin AI data processing.

Leveraging its long-standing strengths in IT, OT (Operational Technology), and products, Hitachi has expanded its solutions to address these challenges.

As it continues expanding the HMAX lineup, Hitachi will evolve HMAX into an operating system that autonomously controls and optimizes social infrastructure, accelerating its AI-driven transformation.

Overview of the Newly Added Solutions
(Please refer to the respective press releases for details.)

  • HMAX Data Center
HMAX Data Center is a portfolio of solutions that provides a one-stop approach to the autonomous operation and maintenance of the infrastructure supporting data centers, as well as its overall optimization. • HMAX Data Fabric, HMAX AI Operations
HMAX Data Fabric is a data platform that systematically contextualizes diverse field data and the tacit knowledge of experienced personnel based on ontologies, and accumulates them as knowledge graphs that can be used by AI. The Physical AI FDE (Forward Deployed Engineer) Team, with expertise in IT, OT, and products, works alongside customers in the field. The Team connects the entire process from extracting operational knowledge, accumulating it in HMAX Data Fabric, and applying AI to managing monitoring and operations through HMAX AI Operations. Hitachi’s end-to-end approach contributes to the rapid deployment of Physical AI in operational environments and its continuous evolution.

Verdantis Rebrands as the AI Super-Agent for MRO, Sets Sights on AI-Native Enterprise Asset Management8.9.2026 16:06:00 CEST | Press Release

Verdantis, the AI company for spare parts and MRO inventory optimization in asset-intensive industries, today unveiled its new brand identity as the AI Super-agent for MRO and announced it is building toward a fully AI-native Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platform. Verdantis’s super-agent orchestrates nine specialized AI agents across the decisions that decide plant uptime: spare parts, criticality, demand, reorder, and work order planning. These decisions set working capital, maintenance spend, and whether a critical asset runs and, in most plants, they are still made in spreadsheets and disconnected systems. The positioning is for the teams who own uptime - maintenance, reliability, and MRO supply chain leaders in oil and gas, mining, utilities, chemicals, and manufacturing. And it reflects an AI-first architecture: agents decide and act by default; people supervise, override, and teach the system. Every human override creates feedback that helps the system learn. That principle

VTA's participation extends the ecosystem alignment that defined the round, which brought together investors spanning silicon ICs, foundry manufacturing, electronics manufacturing services, networking, and global infrastructure capital. With VTA's addition, the syndicate now reaches further into the semiconductor manufacturing and design-enablement layers on which high-volume photonics production depends. "The transition to TFLN is not a component decision — it is an ecosystem decision," said Mian Zhang, CEO of HyperLight. "Getting TFLN into volume requires the proc
