Cyclic Materials Opens America’s First Commercial-Scale Facility Delivering Automated Rare Earth Magnet Recovery
9.9.2026 22:09:00 CEST | Business Wire | Press Release
Cyclic Materials announced today the opening of its first commercial-scale rare earth magnet recycling facility in Mesa, Arizona, marking a major milestone in building domestic supply of rare earths and critical minerals. With an annual processing capacity of up to 25,000 metric tons of magnet-bearing end-of-life products, the facility produces Cyclic’s rare earth magnet material, Mag-Xtract™, and critical minerals such as copper and aluminum, and steel.

Leaders gather to mark the opening of Cyclic Materials’ new facility in Mesa, Arizona. From left to right: Herbert Flores, Arizona Commerce Authority Vice President of Business Development; Scott Somers, City of Mesa Vice Mayor; Jeff Dawley, Cyclic Materials CFO; Mark Freeman, City of Mesa Mayor; Ahmad Ghahreman, Cyclic Materials Founder and CEO; William Kimmitt, U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade; Matt Cherevaty, Cyclic Materials COO; Bill Ross, Cyclic Materials Director of Operations for Mesa, Arizona.
The Mesa facility is the world’s first commercial-scale deployment of Cyclic Materials’ proprietary MagCycle® technology, delivering automated mechanical separation of magnets from end-of-life products, and serving as the front end of Cyclic Materials’ integrated rare earth recovery platform.
Cyclic Materials has built a strong commercial supply network across the U.S., securing significant volumes of magnet-bearing feedstock through long-term commercial partnerships. More than 7,000 metric tons have already been delivered to the Mesa facility, with substantially greater volumes secured across its growing supply pipeline. Commercial operation is now underway, with the first commercial shipments to U.S. customers expected later this month.
Global demand for rare earth elements is projected to triple by 2035, driven by AI, automotive, robotics, electronics, energy, and defense applications. In addition, the rare earth supply chain remains highly geographically concentrated, leaving it vulnerable to geopolitical risks. Building infrastructure to recover rare earths from end-of-life products is one of the fastest routes to securing domestic supply. Cyclic Materials' new facility was completed just 17 months after first being announced, demonstrating a repeatable deployment model to establish domestic capacity on an expeditious timeline.
In a recent Presidential Determination, the Trump Administration recognized end-of-life rare earth permanent magnets as containing recoverable critical materials essential to national defense, explicitly addressing the need for domestic recovery and processing capacity. Cyclic’s Mesa facility directly addresses this U.S. priority by offering companies a domestic destination for magnet-bearing end-of-life products that might otherwise be exported as waste.
“Rare-earth materials are essential inputs across some of the industries that matter most to America’s economic and national security, and President Trump has made strengthening critical-mineral supply chains a priority,” said William Kimmitt, Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce, who attended the grand opening of the Mesa facility. “Cyclic Materials’ opening is a great example of government working effectively with industry for the American people.”
“This facility delivers new capacity for the U.S. to keep resource-rich products here and build domestic rare earth supply,” said Ahmad Ghahreman, CEO and Founder of Cyclic Materials. “Cyclic is quickly closing gaps in the domestic supply chain as we expedite our rare earth and critical mineral infrastructure development in the U.S. This means shaving months, if not years, off the delivery of the critical materials required to drive AI, energy, and defense sectors forward.”
“Arizona is a national leader in critical minerals and innovative technologies powering the reshoring of American industries,” said ArizonaGovernor Katie Hobbs. “This facility will play a vital role in advancing Arizona’s clean energy economy and strengthening U.S. supply chain resiliency.”
The Mesa facility is an important milestone in Cyclic Materials’ buildout of nationwide critical material recovery infrastructure. A new South Carolina rare earth recycling campus is in development, which will combine the company’s magnet recovery and rare earth refining platforms on a single site.
About Cyclic Materials
Cyclic Materials is building a resilient supply chain for rare earth elements and other critical materials through the recycling of magnet-containing end-of-life products. The company recovers and refines high-purity recycled rare earth oxides that are returned to the manufacturing supply chain for new permanent magnets that are essential to automotive, AI, robotics, defense, electronics, energy, medical, industrial and other advanced technologies. With the successful opening of its Arizona facility, and acceleration of construction for its South Carolina facility, the company is delivering rare earth and critical materials at commercial scale and plans for continued expansion to create a secure domestic, circular supply of rare earths. European Firms Struggle to Keep Pace with Growing DSAR Demands, New Reveal Study Finds6.10.2026 15:00:00 CEST | Press Release
New research published today byReveal, the provider of integrated AI-native platforms spanning the dispute resolution lifecycle, found that large European organisations complete fewer than half of data subject access requests (DSARs) within the one-month deadline required under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), a shortfall the study ties directly to a near-universal absence of purpose-built technology. Nearly nine in 10 organisations still run DSARs on manual or general-purpose workflows, with no dedicated tooling in place. The report, based on a survey of 213 legal and privacy professionals at large European enterprises, is the first of its kind to benchmark how organisations across the region are managing DSAR compliance at scale. The findings expose structural inconsistencies between how organisations perceive their DSAR processes and how those processes perform. Ninety percent of respondents said they are confident their process would withstand scrutiny from an Informa

The traditional formats brands default to were never built for players. Interstitial pop-ups disrupt gameplay, banner ads go unnoticed, and in-game activations remain cumbersome and expensive to execute. The idea is already proven in games, where players have purchased, collected, and valued digital items for years. The relationship between players and games is built on t
