Cobra Biologics tilldelas Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade

Cobra Biologics (”Cobra”) är en internationellt ledande organisation för kontraktsutveckling och tillverkning som i dag offentliggör att företaget har tilldelats Queen’s Award 2018 for Enterprise, i kategorin internationell handel. Detta prestigefyllda pris är ett erkännande av Cobras kommersiella framgångar som tjänsteleverantör till företagets globala kundbas.

Queen’s Awards har sedan 52 år tillbaka uppmärksammat exceptionella brittiska företag. Nu när Cobra blir en del av denna tradition kommer företaget att närvara vid en mottagning på Buckingham Palace. Därefter kommer priset att överlämnas av en representant för Hennes Majestät Drottningen på Cobras anläggning i Storbritannien senare i år.

Cobra har under 20 år arbetat inom life science med kontraktsutveckling och tillverkning av biofarmaceutiska produkter, från prekliniska och kliniska försök till kommersiell tillverkning. Företaget exporterar just nu 85 % av sina tjänster från anläggningarna i Storbritannien och Sverige.

Cobras GMP-godkända anläggning i Storbritannien är ett center med högt anseende i världen för utveckling och produktion av biologiskt material till stöd för både gen- och immunoterapi. I april 2017 presenterade Cobra en plan på att investera 15 miljoner brittiska pund inom genterapi för att möta en ökande efterfrågan på både plasmid-DNA och virala vektorer för fas III, samt kommersiell tillverkning åt både befintliga kunder och för nya kundkrav inom utveckling av revolutionerande sjukdomsbehandlingar.
