Within the Swedish Transport Administration's assignment, the Programme New Main Lines will have a comprehensive responsibility for planning and implementation of New Main Lines.

The programme will be led by Ali Sadeghi, currently Head of the Investment area, and the new organization will start on October 1, 2020.

- I see that through this we create opportunities to bring together the expansion of Sweden's New Main Lines and I am convinced that Ali will push this important development and capacity issue forward for Swedish railway, says the Swedish Transport Administration's Director General Lena Erixon.
In the role as director of the New Main Lines Programme, Ali Sadeghi will report directly to Director General Lena Erixon.
