Polhem Infra appoints Karin Karlström as Acting CEO

Karin Karlström will be the Acting CEO of Polhem Infra from 8 November.

Karin joins the company from a role as Senior Advisor and member of the Board. She has been active on the Board of Directors of Polhem Infra since February 2021. Karin has a strong background in the tech and telecom sector, with long experience of leading teams, making corporate investments and concluding business transactions. She is very familiar with Polhem Infra, and will lead the company until a new CEO has been appointed. Meanwhile Mikael Lundin, CEO of Polhem Infra since August 2019, will be stepping down.

About the Swedish National Pension (AP) Funds
The AP Funds manage buffer capital in Sweden’s national pension system for the benefit of current and future pensioners, on behalf of Swedish Parliament and the Swedish people. The AP Funds (AP1–AP4) share the same mission but have different asset management strategies, and they are governed by the National Pension Insurance Funds Act (2000:192) (the AP Funds Act). On 30 June 2021, total net assets amounted to approximately SEK 1,810 billion. The AP Funds balance payments into and disbursements from the pension system, and have since the beginning paid SEK 220 billion net into the system.
