WhistleB’s sustainability report indicates increased commitment to business ethics
WhistleB’s new sustainability report shows a change in attitude regarding key sustainability issues (CSR). Discussions with customers show that business critical sustainability issues such as discrimination, harassment and bribery are rising further up the board room agenda. Several companies state that the systematic follow-up of these issues should happen as a matter of course.
WhistleB's sustainability report follows the international Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standard. A substantial part of WhistleB's sustainability work is in the dialogue with customers. WhistleB offers whistleblowing services to companies, public authorities and organisations.
“Following up the code of conduct in an effective and systematic way through whistleblowing services is relatively new to the market. This is why the customer dialogue is so important, for understanding the need for support, follow-up and governance that exists within boards of directors and management teams,” says Karin Henriksson, founder of WhistleB.
“The code of conduct is business critical and boards of directors want to act quickly and correctly on incidents such as harassment and bribery. Customer dialogue clearly shows that a change in attitude is happening here and now. In this year’s report several companies point out that the focus on, and monitoring of, these issues is an obvious platform, a hygiene factor”, Karin Henriksson continues.
