Biofiber Tech

Biofiber Tech’s mission is to reduce the global carbon footprint, by creating nature-based materials for decarbonisation of everyday products. Biofiber Tech’s first product, FibraQ®, a sustainable alternative to fossil based plastic, is an alternative made from the Nordic forest. It can be used without sacrificing some of the key factors that are beneficial in the production of conventional plastics, such as production in large volume, flowability and customisability, which are often missing with other sustainable material produced today. Biofiber Tech was founded in 2016 by  Dr. Eric Zhang as a response to the urgent need of sustainable alternatives to plastic. Biofiber Tech currently have patents in Sweden, United States, China, Japan, Malaysia and Chile, with applications for many other countries pending. Biofiber Tech is  a member  of Norrsken House in Stockholm, with its laboratory facility located in KTH Greenhouse Labs.
