Neuroförbundet, Sveriges ledande patientorganisation för personer med neurologiska diagnoser, tillkännager idag utlysningen av sitt stora forskningsanslag på 2 miljoner kronor. I år riktas anslaget specifikt mot forskning om cerebral pares (CP). "Genom att fokusera på CP-forskning vill vi driva på utvecklingen av nya behandlingsmetoder och förbättra livskvaliteten för personer som lever med denna diagnos," säger Lise Lidbäck, ordförande för Neuroförbundet.

Dawit Isaak, lauréat du prix Edelstam 2024, est emprisonné illégalement depuis 2001 sans procès. Il n'a été inculpé d'aucun crime et n'a pas été autorisé à parler à son avocat.

Il National Press Club, con sede a Washington DC, ha richiesto il rilascio immediato di Dawit Isaak, il giornalista che si trova in stato di detenzione arbitraria con la decorrenza più lunga al mondo quale prigioniero di coscienza. Dawit Isaak, vincitore del Premio Edelstam 2024, è incarcerato illegalmente dal 2001 senza aver subito alcun processo. Non è stato accusato di alcun crimine, né gli è stato permesso di parlare con il suo avvocato.

Le prix sera remis lors d'une cérémonie à la Maison de la Noblesse à Stockholm, en Suède, le 19 novembre 2024. Étant donné que Dawit Isaak est un prisonnier d'opinion et le journaliste détenu le plus longtemps au monde, il ne pourra pas être présent. Sa fille, Betlehem Isaak, recevra le prix en son nom.
