The European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) invites you to celebrate women entrepreneurs driving innovation and investment in Europe. The EIT Community will be hosting the INNOVEIT Conference which will feature industry leaders like Inga Grieger, Katarzyna Piasecki and Laura Wirsztel. A pitch session will showcase pioneering women-led ventures shaping the future of technology. Exclusive insights: Conference attendees will gain access to the latest research findings from the study “Women founders in European deep tech startups” by the initiative EIT Supernovas, revealing women’s impact in deep tech and the launch of the new Data Room which enhances visibility for women-led startups and scaleups by connecting them with potential investors.

Sedan kommunstyrelsen i januari 2021 beslutade att Uppsala ska ansöka om att bli kulturhuvudstad pågår ett fokuserat och brett arbete med att mejsla ut hur kulturen kan spela en större roll i stadsutvecklingen. Därför intensifieras nu samarbetet mellan Uppsala kommun och Uppsala universitet för att ta fram en ansökan till att bli europeiskt kulturhuvudstad 2029.

Onsdag den 2 september inleder Mariya Gabriel, EU-kommissionär för innovation, forskning, kultur, utbildning och ungdomsfrågor, konferensen Cities Design and Innovation. Konferensen som genomförs i Umeå kommer att diskutera framtiden för kulturella och kreativa industrier efter covid -19.

Det nya Stockholm3-testet för förbättrad diagnos av prostatacancer får nu pengar från EIT Health, European Institute of Innovation and Technology inom hälsoområdet, för att snabbare nå ut till medborgare i delar av Europa. I ett första steg ska testet utprovas i Tyskland, Holland och Belgien. Bakom testet står forskare vid Karolinska Institutet.

The new Stockholm3 test, which improves prostate cancer diagnosis, gets assistance from EIT Health for a faster introduction in Europe. In a first step the test will be clinically validated in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. The Stockholm3 test was developed by researchers at Karolinska Institutet.

Karolinska Institutet har rekryterat professor Alexander von Gabain till den nyinrättade tjänsten som vicerektor för innovation och samverkan med näringslivet. Han kommer att ansvara för utvecklingen av Karolinska Institutets innovationssystem och för etablering av bredare former av samverkan med näringslivet.

Karolinska Institutet has recruited Professor Alexander von Gabain to the new position as Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Innovation and Corporate Alliances¹. He will be responsible for identifying, fostering and coordinating opportunities in research, health care, education, business outreach, investment and entrepreneurship leading towards an increased innovation output from Karolinska Institutet.
