Getafe, Madrid, Friday, 20th December 2024, 12:00 EUROJET Turbo GmbH (EUROJET), the consortium responsible for the EJ200 engine installed in the Eurofighter Typhoon, has today signed a contract with the NATO Eurofighter & Tornado Management Agency (NETMA) to provide 59 new EJ200 engines for the Spanish Air Force. The contract, signed at Getafe Air Force Base, Madrid, between Air Vice Marshall (AVM) Simon Ellard (ret.), General Manager of NETMA, and Ralf Breiling, CEO of EUROJET, covers EJ200 engines for the Eurofighter Typhoon fighter aircraft in the second phase of the Halcón acquisition project. Production of the engine modules will be performed by the four partner companies of the EUROJET consortium; Rolls-Royce, MTU Aero Engines, ITP Aero and Avio Aero. ITP Aero will conduct the final assembly of the engines at their Ajalvir facility with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2029. Microplastics impact the environment and come from sources including tyre wear, garment washing, industrial pollution, painting, plastic littering and artificial turf. While there is substantial research into artificial turf as a source of microplastic pollution, knowledge on microplastics in fibresand was lacking. Icelandic horses are a popular feature at Sweden International Horse Show. This year, Sweden's Kristján Magnússon pleased his home crowd with a win in the World Cup Tölt with Óskar från Lindeberg. The Tölt final at Friends Arena are a highlight for the riders, who qualify by picking points at competitions throughout Europe. Only the eight best get through to the final at Sweden International Horse Show. These top riders started the week with a warm-up on Thursday, followed by A- and B-finals on Friday with four riders in each. In the A-final, the line-up consisted of one Swede and three Danes.
