Optimism and stabilisation as visibility improves17.7.2024 09:00:00 CEST | Första AP-fonden | Press Release

Global equity markets rallied during the first half of 2024, while valuations of unlisted assets stabilised. A strong US economy and slowly declining inflationary pressures were the main reasons for company and investor optimism, despite interest rate cuts being fewer than expected and repeatedly postponed. Carefully balanced long-term as well as medium-term portfolio positioning combined with a steadfast focus on cost-efficiency generated a return of 5.0 per cent after expenses in the first half of 2024. Net investment income was SEK 22.7 billion and assets under management totalled SEK 476.2 billion at mid-year.

The new role of the Science Park18.5.2017 00:00:00 CEST | Ideon Science Park | Nyheter

This is a reflection from our CEO Mia Rolf. Having spent 3 days in an IASP (International Association of Science Parks) European meeting in York, UK, I have to reflect upon the struggle we all seem to have in finding our natural role in the innovation system, and in society. Some science parks feel threatened by the clusters, who are niched and thus clearer in whom to attract, and yet less restricted in that they are not bound to a geographical place. The diverse ownership of the Science Parks is another issue that makes it hard to compare targets, results and methods.

The survey shows that the vast majority think that it is important to remember those who have died. A large proportion – 38 percent – want to do more to honour the memory of those they miss, but they say that obstacles in everyday life get in the way or they don’t know what they can do.
