St1 Biokraft, ett av Nordens ledande biogasbolag, har tecknat ett avtal om ett förvärv av Södra Hallands Kraft Biogas AB med produktionsanläggning i Hov utanför Laholm. St1 Biokraft äger och driver sedan tidigare en uppgraderingsanläggning i samma fastighet.

Typically viewed as unrelated problems, global warming and plastic pollution are instead inextricably trapped in a “vicious circle” where one feeds the other, researchers in Sweden report in Nature Communications. Waiblingen, Germany - The STIHL Group finished the challenging fiscal year 2022 with record-breaking revenue of 5.5 billion euros, equating to growth of 8.6 percent compared to the previous year. As an international business, the company generated 90 percent of its revenue outside its domestic market of Germany. The rise was attributable in particular to currency effects, inflation-related price adjustments, and stronger demand for higher-price professional products. Excluding currency effects, revenue would have grown by 3.1 percent. As of Dec. 31, 2022, the STIHL Group employed 20,552 people, an increase of 2.3 percent year on year. Lagstiftningen är ett avgörande steg för omställningen inom sjöfarten och innebär bland annat att krav på inblandning av syntetiska bränslen sannolikt införs från 2034, att klimatutsläppen från sjöfarten måste minska med 31 procent till 2040 och 80 procent till 2050 samt krav på att ansluta skeppen till el när de ligger i hamn i större hamnar.

Europaparlamentet har antagit sin ståndpunkt om förslaget om medlemsländernas årliga bindande mål för minskningar av växthusgasutsläpp. Jessica Polfjärd (M) är Europaparlamentets huvudförhandlare för förslaget om hur ansvaret för minskningar av klimatsutsläpp ska fördelas mellan medlemsländerna.

The Power-to-Gas plant (P2G), planned for completion by Vantaa Energy in 2025 in Finland, produces carbon-neutral synthetic gas, the production process of which utilises water and carbon dioxide recovered from the waste treatment process in a new and innovative way. Synthetic gas can be used as transport fuel instead of fossil natural gas. The circular economy energy company Vantaa Energy and the energy company St1 have signed a preliminary agreement for cooperation on the distribution of the gas produced by the electric fuel plant to end users and on measures related to distribution.
