Värmdö kommun har beviljats medel från Viable Cities för att genomföra projektet Klimatneutrala Värmdö 2030. Genom projektet ska kommunen utveckla innovativa och rättvisa lösningar för klimatomställning, med fokus på fossilfri och elektrifierad båttrafik, hållbar konsumtion, hållbar energianvändning samt ett tydligt jämställdhetsperspektiv. Tillsammans med lokala aktörer kommer kommunen att arbeta för att minska växthusgasutsläppen och skapa en inkluderande omställningsresa.

Uppsala Municipality has been diligently working on an application to become the European Capital of Culture in 2029 for several years. The application is now complete, and on December 13, the Municipal Council approved and submitted it to the Swedish Arts Council. A decision on Uppsala's progress in the process will be made in early 2024.
