Attention-grabbing highlights On Thursday at 01:00 pm, the grand Arrival Parade will reach the port. Tall ships such as “Dar Młodzieży” and “Alexander von Humboldt II” along with numerous sailing ships large and small will enter the port to the delight of the admiring guests. This enthralling scenery will be enhanced by naval vessels, state-of-the-art specialised craft, tugboats, motor vessels, historic and museum ships, and countless sport boats. On Saturday at 3:45 pm, the unique tugboat ballet will be performed against the backdrop of Hamburg Harbour. In a fascinating choreography, nimble tugs boasting up to 3000 hp will dance to music on the Elbe in an impressive symphony. E

Fokus ligger på Sveriges största nationella minoritet – sverigefinnar.

I februari är det dags för Sveriges största folkfest, Melodifestivalen, att inta Scandinavium igen. Göteborg står värd för deltävling nummer två och idag presenterades de deltagande artisterna. Det blir minst sagt ett spännande startfält!

Lördag 9 november är det dags för Musikschlagets stora riksfinal 2024 på Aveny i Sundsvall. Sveriges största och mest glädjerika musiktävling för personer med funktionsnedsättningar firar 13 år, med Lili & Susie som speciellt inbjudna gästartister.

När femtonde upplagan av musikfestivalen Live at Heart drar i gång bidrar studenter från Musikhögskolan vid Örebro universitet med både livemusik och liveljudteknik. – Det ska bli så kul, säger studenten Isa Espling.

Idag den 10 september på Suicidpreventiva dagen samlas elever på skolor över hela Sverige och dansar till Tim ”Avicii” Berglings låt Broken Arrows i syfte att uppmärksamma ungas psykiska hälsa. Initiativet Dansa för livet, som startade för tre år sedan av lärare vid Polhemsskolan i Lund, har idag vuxit till ett omfattande projekt och drivs numera i samarbete med Hedda Anderssongymnasiet och med stöd av Tim Bergling Foundation. I år slås dessutom nytt deltagarrekord med 85 818 elever från 368 skolor.

Även i år har poesin en självklar plats på musikfestivalen Live at heart i Örebro. Poeten Michael Horvath leder för femte året i rad Live at Hearts egen poesifestival. I år håller den till på Lill-Annas café på Örebro slott på lördagen den 14 september klockan 16.00. Medverkar gör några av landets bästa poeter.

On the night of 2 to 3 August 1944, 4300 women, children and elderly people of the minority were forced into the gas chambers in the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp. In 2015, the European Parliament declared 2 August as European Holocaust Memorial Day for Roma and Sinti to commemorate the 500,000 victims of Nazi regime. Alma Klasing, a Holocaust survivor who lost close relatives in Auschwitz, emphasised in her speech in Auschwitz: “The electoral success of the right-wing parties frightens me greatly. On 31 July Maschsee Festival in Hannover will kick off for the 37th time. For 19 days – until 18 August – the capital city of Lower Saxony will host Germany’s largest lakeside festival on and around the water. The wait is over: Mein Schiff 7 was christened yesterday in Kiel Bay by godmother Fenia Kalachani, who has been an environmental officer on board the Mein Schiff fleet since 2020. The event culminated in a drone show and fireworks, showcasing the feel-good ship against the backdrop of Kiel. The spectacular images projected from Mein Schiff 7 into the night sky were clearly visible from afar, especially to visitors of Kiel Week and Mein Schiff fans on the Kiellinie promenade. Guests of Mein Schiff 7 were eagerly anticipating the event on the high seas. London - Bonhams has appointed Louise Arén as CEO of Bonhams Nordics in a move to further strengthen the Nordic business and collaboration between Bukowskis, based in Stockholm and Helsinki, and Bruun Rasmussen based in Copenhagen.
