The 18 to 30 generation in Germany has more trust in the European Union than is the case on average in other European countries. But they lack confidence in the German government and parliament. These are the findings of a data analysis commissioned by the Bertelsmann Stiftung.

The 2022 Civil Rights Defender of the Year Award is given to the LGBTI+ activists Xheni Karaj from Albania and Frank Mugisha from Uganda, for their tireless fight for LGBTI+ people’s rights in countries where homophobia, discrimination and violence is widespread.

A new research report, "#Vardeljus-uppropet" (the Let There Be Light Campaign), highlights the importance of the Church of Sweden’s work over 20 years to combat sexual harassment and abuse. At the same time, the report identifies structural problems with boundary-setting in, for example, what is considered permissible. The report is a qualitative analysis of the #MeToo campaign in the Church of Sweden.
