Krombach / Germany, June 9th, 2022. From the serene Krombach valley to vibrant London – a brand-new film about Krombacher explores the journey of the brewery’s iconic natural beer. Told by the passionate people behind the independent German brewery, the programme is part of the new film series “Brewing Ambition”, presented by The Brewers of Europe and produced by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions.

Michael Cavanagh is the new opera director, Ellen Lamm will be artistic director of Young at the Opera and music director is Alan Gilbert. This winning combination will be in place when the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm welcomes a 300-strong audience for the first time since March 2020. They met in person for the first time at their new workplace during Monday’s press conference together with ballet director Nicholas Le Riche and CEO Birgitta Svendén. The opera, ballet and concert programme for the coming season was also presented.

Sommaren har kantats av filmfestivaler och uttagningar av filmer till kommande festivaler. Här är några av Film i Västs alla samproduktioner som visas runt om i världen. Och fler kommer så snart som hela programmen presenterats.

Fyra av Film i Västs samproduktioner är uttagna till filmfestivalen i Karlovy Vary, Tjeckien. Festivalen har arrangerats sedan 1948 och är den mest betydelsfulla i centrala och östra Europa. Den är också listad som en A-filmfestival, vilket den också delar med Berlin, Cannes och Venedig för att nämna några.

Film i Västs samproduktion Tom of Finland öppnar Göteborg Film Festival fredag 27 januari och deltar tillsammans med Exfrun i tävlingen om en miljon kronor i Dragon Award Best Nordic Film. Dessutom visas vinnaren från Cannes Un Certain Regard, Den lyckligaste dagen i Olli Mäkis liv, tillsammans med Nordic Honorary Dragon Award-vinnare Lone Scherfigs storslagna Their Finest. Lägg därtill dokumentären Ouagaga Girls och tre kortfilmer som tävlar i Startsladden och en lång rad andra filmer så kan du se ett brett utbud av Film Västs samproduktioner fram till 6 februari.
