LeoVegas wins three awards at Malta Gaming Awards

Against many strong competitors, LeoVegas won the awards "CSR of the Year", "Careers Program of the Year" and "Sportsbook of the Year".

CSR of the Year - Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year
During the past year LeoVegas has made substantial efforts within responsible gaming, which has resulted in a new, dedicated portal called LeoSafePlay. The base of LeoSafePlay is a tool based on machine learning, to proactively discover players who can develop unhealthy gambling behaviour. The clients can get help identifying their behaviour and gambling that might be problematic through an anonymous test. As one of the few companies in the industry, LeoVegas offers a free tool (GamBan) to block all gaming sites and an insurance (LeoSafe) which pays for the clients first visit with a therapist specialized in gambling addiction. All information and tools are gathered in the portal www.leosafeplay.com, which is referred to clients, family members and other parties involved.

Also mentioned in the CSR award is LeoInitiative, with the purpose to improve the situation for lions around the world, LeoVegas' support for local help organizations and being main sponsor for the Maltese Pride Festival.

Sportsbook of the Year
LeoVegas Sports has evolved tremendously during the last year. LeoVegas Sport was launched in several of the major markets and today offer the possibility to bet on over 130 000 sports events. A function that is the base for the award is instant betting, which makes it possible for the client to bet in real time, for example in tennis, where the client can place a bet up until the ball is served.

Malta Gaming Awards is held annually to highlight significant efforts in the iGaming sector on Malta. A panel consisting of 20 independent professionals are judges and the process is audited by KPMG.
