Kristina Börjeson appointed as new Head of Production
Kristina Börjeson joins Film i Väst from TV4/C More, where she is currently serving as Head of Drama Production. She will start her position at Film i Väst on January 1, 2021.

With her extensive experience, Kristina Börjeson is uniquely qualified to lead our production team in the essential work of identifying co-production projects with the potential to find a wide audience, says Mikael Fellenius, CEO of Film i Väst.
Kristina Börjeson has a solid foundation in film and TV production. Prior to her current position at TV4/C More, Börjeson worked for several years at the Swedish Film Institute, where she served as the Head of Film Funding and Head of Distribution and Screening. She has also been Sweden’s representative at Eurimages, the Council of Europe film fund. She has previously worked as the Head of Communication at publishing house Natur & Kultur, the Head of Marketing at Triangelfilm and at various positions at the Swedish national broadcaster SVT.
- I’m really looking forward to contributing to Film i Väst’s exciting and innovative slate of international feature films and scripted television being produced in Sweden’s Västra Götaland, says Kristina Börjeson. It’ll be amazing to combine my passion for film with the strategic work for the years ahead, and to work alongside a fantastic team.
Kristina Börjeson will take up her position at Film i Väst on January 1, 2021. She will succeed Peter Possne, who has served as Film i Väst’s Head of Production since 2017.

During the film festival in Venice Film i Väst Analysis introduces av unique, pan-European study, All that is solid melts into air – Public Film Funding at a Crossroads II. It is presented at a seminar as a part of Venice Production Bridge by Tomas Eskilsson, head of Film i Väst Analysis. Public Film and Audiovisual Policies and Funding at a Crossroads is a research project in three parts that explores and discuss the future purpose and relevance of film and audiovisual funding. The Turkish director and scriptwriter Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s About Dry Grasses has been selected for competition at Festival de Cannes. The film is co-produced by Film i Väst and Nadir Öperli and Beata Gårdeler at Second Land. Parts of the post production have been made in Västra Götaland. Furthermore Felipe Gálves’ The Settlershas been selected for Un Certain Regard.
