Despite the pandemic, Berlin has this year realised a number of important and fascinating landmark projects all waiting to be discovered by our visitors.
Humboldt Forum –Berlin's new and spectacular cultural hub
There is movement in the historic centre of the capital. After a construction period of over seven years, the new Humboldt Forum now takes its place as one of Germany's leading cultural centers. It is creating a new forum for art, culture, science and education. On an exhibition area of approx. 30,000 square meters, it not only explores its three core themes of the History of the Site, the Humboldt Brothers, and Colonialism, but also provides a platform for dialogue and exchanging ideas. Neue Nationalgalerie –Rediscover world-famous art of the 20th century
This summer, one of Berlin's leading art addresses is reopening – the Neue Nationalgalerie at the Kulturforum. U5 metro line – High speed sightseeing
A major public transport project has been completed. The U5 metro line in the heart of Berlin now has a new section connecting Berlin's many cultural attractions between Alexanderplatz and the Brandenburg Gate. With three new stations, Rotes Rathaus, Museumsinsel and Unter den Linden – the line offers a convenient and exciting way to experience the city.The line U5 extension not only makes sightseeing even easier, but also allows you to leave the usual tourist trails and discover the hidden gems. Berlin airport (BER) One airport for the whole region
The new international Berlin airport (BER), now open is a positive signal for improved international connections at a difficult time for the tourism and congress industry. As a modern hub for air traffic, the BER will connect Berlin in future with all Europe's main hub airports. With an initial capacity of around 40 million passengers per year, the BER will greatly benefit Berlin once the corona pandemic is over. Check more info here:https://ber.berlin-airport.de
Berlin – Germany's gourmet capital.
Berlin's creative culinary scene is widely regarded as one of the world's go-to destinations for food lovers.
