The City of Stockholm arranges exciting days with climate solutions and inspiration

In 2022 it will be fifty years since the first United Nations conference on the human environment – the 1972 Stockholm Conference. This year Stockholm is yet again the host city for the conference.
-Stockholm has come a long way since the first environment conference 50 years ago. The air is cleaner, the water purer and the climate emissions lower. But a lot remains to be done, and we need to do it together – The City, its inhabitants and many other players. I hope that “Gröna plattan” will be an important meeting place and perhaps even the beginning of the green Stockholm of the future, says Katarina Luhr (MP) Vice Mayor for Environment and Climate.
During four days you can listen to researchers from MIT, KTH, Stockholm Resilience Center and more, who give their perspectives on entrepreneurship, equality, pollination and gardening. You’ll also meet a gardner and even a bishop!
You will have several opportunities to meet climate and sustainability experts from the City. You could also do a study visit at Norra Djurgårdsstaden, a city district with many exciting and sustainable solutions. For the young, there will be targeted workshops, one where they can try biomimicry – a way to mimic nature’s own smart solutions. Children can enjoy gardening crafts and will be entertained by climate super heroes and Kulturskolan Stockholm.
