Jessica von Bredow-Werndl – the Queen of Lövsta Top 10 Dressage

She’s world no.1 and expectations were high as Jessica von Bredow-Werndl returned to Friends Arena for Lövsta Top 10 Dressage. The dressage superstar stood the pressure and repeated last year’s double win, securing the victory in both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle.
Lövsta Top 10 Dressage attracts some of the world’s very best dressage riders and the audience at Friends Arena got to enjoy top performances in Sunday’s Grand Prix Freestyle with several personal bests. Germany’s Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, who won both classes in 2022, duplicated last year’s feat and followed up Saturday’s Grand Prix-victory with yet another win. Together with Tsf Dalera BB, the brilliant pair danced home 90.295 percent.
– I had a better feeling than yesterday. The entrance halt was much better, the changes were really good and I just had a hiccup in one extended trot. But all in all she felt really good, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl says, and adds:
- I really want to thank Lövsta for making this happen, it's a fantastic show and we hope to be back next year.
Nanna Skodborg Merrald also had a smashing show, with personal bests in both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle. The Danish rider and Blue Hors Zepter ended up second on Saturday and secured one more blue ribbon on Sunday as 89.625 percent got them another second place.
In fact, the top four positions in the Grand Prix Freestyle were identical to those of the Grand Prix a day earlier. Isabell Werth and Emilio 107 was third again while Therese Nilshagen and her black stallion Dante Weltino OLD secured another fourth place, with 87.320 percent for the German rider and 85.300 percent for the Swede.
Full results (personal bests also for Daniel Bachmann Andersen/Vayron and Maria von Essen/Invoice)
