Eva Conradzon receives Sámi Council Culture Prize
Eva Conradzon is being awarded the 2025 Culture Prize by the Sámi Council of the Church of Sweden for her efforts to promote and raise the profile of Sámi interests in culture, society and religious life.

For many years, Conradzon has been one of the driving forces behind Ubmejen Biejvieh, the Sámi week in Umeå, which has grown into a significant platform for Sámi culture, language and art.She has also worked to ensure that Sámi church services, choirs and other forms of cultural expression are given a clear place in the church space.
“Through hard work and a large measure of perseverance, Eva Conradzon has helped ensure that Sámi culture and Sámi ecclesiastical life now have a clearer place in the public arena in Umeå,” says Erik-Oscar Oscarsson, chair of the Sámi Council.
The Culture Prize will be awarded on 6 November in Uppsala Cathedral. The prize money is SEK 50 000. The Culture Prize has been awarded since 1997.
