Voting cards for the church elections are now being sent out to almost five million members of the Church of Sweden who are entitled to vote. What is new this year is that young adults aged 16–30 will receive a digital reminder in their Kivra digital mailbox urging them to keep an eye out for the envelope in their physical mailbox.

All voting cards should have been received by 3 September at the latest. Those who have not received their voting card can contact their parish for a duplicate card or download a new one online using the BankID electronic identification system.

The church elections will take place from 8–21 September.

About voting cards

  • If you have not received a voting card, you should contact your parish and they will be able to issue a duplicate card. You can also download and print out a new voting card online using BankID.
