During the first session, a total of 128 motions, seven communications and four reports on activities were considered, resulting in 91 reports with draft decisions.

Among this year’s communications, attention has been drawn in particular to “Sustainability in the Church of Sweden’s forestry”. In its report, the committee endorses the proposal of the Central Board of the Church of Sweden for a new approach to managing (returnal) revenue on donations made to the Church and from glebe. This approach treats the four dimensions of sustainability (spiritual, ecological, social and economic) as equal and indivisible.

Session 2 will take place from 17–19 November at Uppsala Konsert & Kongress and include debates and decisions. The session will be broadcast online.

Journalists and photographers wishing to attend the event in person will require accreditation. Send an email to press@svenskakyrkan.se stating the name of your editorial office, your own name and your mobile number. The accreditation applies to individuals.

More information and access to all reports is available on the General Synod website.
