Icelandic horses are a popular feature at Sweden International Horse Show. This year, Sweden's Jamila Berg Dibi pleased her home crowd with a win in the unique World Cup Tölt with Toppur frá Audsholtshjáleigu. The Tölt final at Strawberry Arena are a highlight for the riders, who qualify by picking points at competitions throughout Europe. Only the eight best riders secure a spot in the final at Sweden International Horse Show.

The week began with a warm-up round on Thursday, followed by both A and B finals on Friday. Four riders contested each final, and the A-final featured a strong international line-up with representatives from Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Iceland. Under pressure and cheered on by an enthusiastic home audience, Jamila Berg Dibi and her trusted partner Toppur frá Auðsholtshjáleigu delivered an outstanding performance, earning a winning score of 8.555.

–It was amazing. I’m so proud of my horse, and our performance felt really even. I’ve competed in this class many times and achieved both third and second place. Now we finally won, it was time, said Jamila Berg Dibi after her victory.

Close behind, Dennis Hedebo Johansen and Muni frá Bendstrup from Denmark took a shared second place with a score of 8.444. He tied with the German rider Lisa Schrüger and Kjalar frá Strandarhjáleigu.

Remarkably, all horses in the top three were between 16 and 19 years or old – yet still performing at a high level of the sport. Jamila and Toppur have a long history together, a partnership that clearly paid off in the arena.

–I’ve had him for eight years and he’s very special to me, Jamila added.

Fredrik Perssons lyft i världscupen30.11.2025 12:02:15 CET | Pressmeddelande
