10th. December 2025. Navantia has today organized an event with the Swedish industry sector, with the attendance of more than 50 professionals from local companies.

During the event, Navantia presented its plans to involve local industry in the project of future frigates for the Swedish Navy, planned to gain operational capability within NATO. Navantia’s aim is to offer local industry a solid partnership to deliver this capability on time and sustain it throughout its life cycle.

In this sense, Navantia has also signed two Letters of Intent (LoI) with Stockholm Repairyard and Öresund Drydocks for the joint collaboration within the program.

The event was held at the Embassy of Spain in Stockholm and hosted by Ambassador Luis Manuel Cuesta Civís, who has showed the support of the Spanish Government to this program and the reliability of the Navantia proposal. On behalf of Navantia, Juan de la Cueva, commercial director, has presented the capabilities of Navantia.

After the presentations, the companies had the opportunity to participate in one-on-one meetings with the Navantia team, as well as share time and experiences among them.

“The proposal of Navantia is the most suitable to the Swedish Navy as it provides – on time and on budget - a ship tailored made to Swedish requirements and operational capability all through the life cycle. A flexible and holistic model of collaboration with local companies, very well experienced in Navantia around the world”, has assured Juan de la Cueva.
