På den andra dagen av det kinesiska nyåret, sammanfallande med 120-årsjubileet av Yue-operans tillkomst, sändes “Yue Rhyme Chinese New Year — 2026 Yue Opera Spring Festival Gala” enligt plan. Galan samlade Kinas främsta operamästare, framstående sångare och Yue-operaentusiaster från hela världen för att presentera en konstnärlig fest som kombinerade klassiskt arv, genreöverskridande fusion och teknologiskt uttryck – och visade världen de gränslösa möjligheterna hos österländska traditionella konstarter i en samtida kontext.
Zhejiang Satellite TV:s virtuella programledare Gu Xiaoyu framträdde tillsammans med kanalens första robotprogramledare, Lan Xiaotian, för att skapa en ”cyberscen” som överskred verkligheten. Över ett dussin traditionella operatekniker väcktes till liv i digitala miljöer och erbjöd en visuellt futuristisk upplevelse för en global publik.
Galan uppmärksammade också en kulturell resa som korsar berg och hav. Artister som år 1959 reste till den autonoma regionen Xinjiang Uigur för att stödja den lokala operan bjöds in till evenemanget.
