Tacton, Award-Winning Innovation Leader, Launches AI Product Modeling Assistant to Accelerate CPQ Implementation and Eliminate Bottlenecks
5.5.2026 15:00:00 CEST | Business Wire | Press Release
Tacton, a global leader in Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) solutions for manufacturers of complex products, today announced the launch of AI Product Modeling Assistant, a new capability designed to dramatically accelerate product modeling and remove one of the most persistent barriers to CPQ success. Tacton’s AI Modeling Assistant is part of a core innovation to its CPQ platform, earning a Gold win in the 24th Annual American Business Awards for Most Innovative Tech Company of the Year.
For manufacturers with highly configurable products, product modeling is often the longest and most resource-intensive phase of CPQ implementation. It determines how quickly products can be brought to market, how much of the portfolio is available at launch, and ultimately how fast organizations realize value from their CPQ investment.
At the same time, many manufacturers face increasing pressure from limited modeling expertise, workforce shortages, and the retirement of experienced engineers, making it even harder to scale product knowledge.
AI Modeling Assistant addresses these challenges directly.
“As manufacturers move toward a buyer-centric smart factory, AI needs to be built into the core workflows that drive real outcomes,” said Jesper Alfredsson, Chief Product Officer at Tacton. “We don’t layer generic AI on top of CPQ. Our focus is on applying innovation where it has the greatest impact on timelines, with full governance and control.”
From Manual Modeling to Intelligent Acceleration
AI Modeling Assistant acts as an intelligent co-pilot for CPQ modelers, transforming fragmented product documentation into structured, CPQ-ready models.
By ingesting inputs such as spreadsheets, technical specifications, PDFs, and legacy data, the assistant generates a structured model foundation that is typically 70 to 80 percent complete. Modelers then review, refine, and approve outputs before synchronizing directly into Tacton.
This shift moves organizations away from manual, start-from-scratch modeling and toward a more scalable, AI-assisted approach. The result is up to a 50 percent reduction in modeling effort and significantly shorter implementation timelines.
AI Built for the Complexity of Manufacturing
Unlike generic AI tools, Tacton AI is purpose-built for manufacturing and embedded within CPQ workflows.
It understands the structure of configurable products, including assemblies, attributes, and constraints, and generates models within a governed environment where human validation is always required.
This ensures organizations can accelerate modeling without sacrificing control, accuracy, or compliance.
What customers are saying
Alimak, a global leader in vertical access solutions, has already used AI Product Modeling Assistant to accelerate its CPQ rollout across multiple product lines and regions.
“We’ve seen between 40 to 80 percent improvement in how quickly we can build product models,” said Frank Klessens, Group Product Support Manager at Alimak. “That allows us to bring products to market faster and focus more on refining and improving the model instead of building everything from scratch.”
PERI SE, a global leader in formwork and scaffolding systems, has also experienced significant gains in modeling speed and efficiency.
“The Modeling Assistant helped us turn a two-day modeling effort into a two-hour task. It has fundamentally changed how quickly we can structure new products in CPQ,” said Tobias Gottstein, Senior Manager Sales Solutions, PERI SE. “By leveraging AI to generate new models, including assemblies, domains and module variants, we reduced modeling time in half, enabling the business to start testing products in CPQ about one week earlier than originally planned.”
Driving Faster Time to Value and Ongoing Scale
Beyond initial implementation, AI Modeling Assistant supports continuous product evolution.
As manufacturers expand their portfolios and introduce new configurations, modeling becomes an ongoing operational requirement. AI Modeling Assistant helps organizations keep pace by accelerating updates, reducing manual effort, and increasing modeling capacity across existing teams.
This allows organizations to extend the value of their CPQ investment over time, increasing adoption, improving responsiveness to market demand and scaling product innovation without adding headcount.

Verdantis Launches MRO360 “The World's First AI-Native Spare Parts Intelligence Platform”8.5.2026 15:40:00 CEST | Press Release
Verdantis today announced the global launch of MRO360, a purpose-built AI platform that transforms how asset-intensive organizations manage their MRO spare parts inventory. Designed for manufacturers, oil and gas operators, mining companies, utilities, and other industrial enterprises, MRO360 deploys nine interconnected AI agents that continuously forecast demand, score parts criticality, manage obsolescence risk, calculate dynamic reorder points, helps intercompany plant transfer thereby realizing the exact dollar value of every optimization opportunity across a spare parts catalog in real time. Unlike traditional EAM and CMMS platforms built on static rules, MRO360's agents adapt continuously as demand patterns, supplier performance, and equipment health evolve. For the first time, a maintenance planner can see which work orders are at supply risk today and what to do about it. A CFO can see a live dollar figure of releasable excess inventory. “We have spent over twenty years working
