Sitetracker and 5x5 Technologies today introduced a data-to-twin workflow that gives wireless infrastructure owners a practical, affordable path to digitizing an entire tower portfolio.

The Sitetracker platform now integrates 5x5 Synthetic Twin technology, providing scalable asset intelligence at a price up to 85% less than traditional site modeling methods. Synthetic Twins leverage Sitetracker’s leading tower portfolio and operational data to create interactive 3D models of towers, rooftops and ground compounds providing tower operators with a baseline of their portfolio that can be progressively enriched as the site conditions evolve. This data when combined with Scout, Sitetracker’s Agentic AI platform, opens the opportunity for digitized workflows and unparalleled understanding of the asset portfolio.

Why it matters

AI-driven data demand, more spectrum deployments, and denser infrastructure are raising the bar for tower operations. Towercos need precise knowledge of each site: what is installed, where it is positioned, what capacity remains, and how a new tenant or upgrade affects structural capacity and revenue potential.

Digital twins provide that context. But full portfolio asset digitization has often been limited to priority sites, new builds, or selected regions. When a colocation application arrives for a site without a digital twin, teams may fall back on incomplete records, manual research, or expensive truck rolls.

Synthetic Twins change the starting point. These twins are built from data already under management in Sitetracker, not a drone flight. This makes portfolio-wide 3D digital twins economically practical for the first time.

They also create a dynamic baseline that can be updated with additional data over time. For example: if a site requires a drone-based scan sometime in the future, that new “as-built” data is used to improve the base twin. It all flows seamlessly back to Sitetracker, improving core site records for the next application, project, and decision.

The data-to-twin workflow makes digitizing 100% of a towerco portfolio and establishing ground truth easier than ever before.

For tower owners, several benefits include:

  • A baseline digital twin of every site in a portfolio
  • Lower cost of entry
  • Faster colocation workflows
  • Records that increase in accuracy and don’t get stale over time

Better data for agentic AI

When deploying Agentic AI workflows, data accuracy and completeness matter. The combination of 5x5 and Sitetracker data provides a grounded data source that drives automation and asset intelligence. The addition of Synthetic Twins provides a visualization of the physical attributes of the site and allows for automated workflows to be driven by AI Agents.

“Sitetracker customers are consistently looking for operational leverage in their business,” said Giuseppe Incitti, Chief Executive Officer of Sitetracker. “This partnership enhances the data set and capabilities available to our customers to drive operational intelligence and workflow automation.”

“Making digital twins practical at portfolio scale is incredibly powerful,” said Anne Zink, Chief Executive Officer of 5x5 Technologies. “Every towerco wants to do more with fewer resources. Synthetic Twins open up new use cases for AI and expanded opportunities for efficiency and monetization. The combination of Sitetracker as a system of record and 5x5 as an intelligence layer sets a new industry standard.”
