Pantheon, a leading global private markets firm with approximately $84bn in assets under management, today announced the expansion of its presence in the Middle East with the opening of its first office in ADGM, the international financial center based in Abu Dhabi, alongside the appointment of Firas Mallah as Managing Director and Head of Middle East.

Demand for access to private equity, infrastructure, and private credit strategies continues to build among sophisticated investors across the Middle East, who recognize Pantheon for its 40-year track record of innovation and expertise across primaries, secondaries and co-investment opportunities. Secondaries – pioneered by Pantheon in 1988 – remains a defining thread across the platform: alongside its long-established private equity secondaries business, Pantheon has among the industry's first and largest private credit and infrastructure secondaries franchises, making it a strong partner in that space across the GCC. These strategies are increasingly in demand across the region as investors seek discounted access to mature, diversified portfolios of identifiable assets, with mitigated blind pool risk, a shortened J-curve, and earlier distributions.

Over nearly two decades, Pantheon has built relationships with a broad and diverse range of investors across every GCC country, and a dedicated office in Abu Dhabi is the natural next step in enhancing and deepening those relationships and strengthening the firm's presence in the region. The new office extends Pantheon's global footprint to 13 locations across four continents and reflects the firm's strategic conviction in the Middle East.

Firas joins from Sagard, where he was Managing Director, Head of MENA, and brings over 23 years of experience in capital formation and investor relations across the Middle East. He holds an MBA from INSEAD. Firas will be based in Abu Dhabi and will report to Florence Dard, Pantheon's Chief Client Officer.

Florence Dard, Chief Client Officer of Pantheon, said: "Off the back of a record fundraising year, Pantheon continues to see increasing capital formation across the platform, with a growing share coming from the GCC. With this office, Pantheon reaffirms its commitment to the region and to enhancing and deepening the relationships we have built with clients across every Gulf country for nearly two decades. We are particularly pleased to welcome Firas Mallah to the team - his track record raising capital from a broad range of investors speaks for itself, and his appointment strengthens our ability to serve clients across the Middle East directly.”

Firas Mallah, Managing Director and Head of Middle East at Pantheon, added: "The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing sources of capital in private markets, and investors here are increasingly sophisticated about how they want exposure to the asset class. Pantheon’s reputation as a global leader in secondaries and innovation in private markets solutions closely matches investor demand, and I’m excited to bring the firm’s private markets expertise to investors across the region. Establishing our presence in ADGM reflects our strong commitment to the region as we deepen our long-term engagement across the wider GCC."

Arvind Ramamurthy, Chief Market Development Officer at ADGM, said: “We are pleased to welcome Pantheon to ADGM's growing ecosystem. The firm's decision to establish its Middle East presence in Abu Dhabi reflects the continued appeal of ADGM as a destination for leading global private markets firms seeking to deepen their engagement with the region's sophisticated institutional investor base. Pantheon's extensive experience across private equity, infrastructure and private credit will add further depth to our investment management community, and we look forward to supporting the firm's growth in Abu Dhabi and across the wider region.”

Blue Matter Launches Behavioral Science Center of Excellence to Decode and Predict Health Care Decisions in a Rapidly Evolving Biopharma Landscape30.9.2026 15:00:00 CEST | Press Release

Blue Matter today announced the launch of its Behavioral Science Center of Excellence (BeSci CoE), a specialized capability within the Blue Matter Insights primary market research team. The CoE applies behavioral science as a strategic lens to decode the “why” behind the decisions made by healthcare professionals, patients, care partners, and other stakeholders. Biopharma decisions hinge on knowing why customers do what they do. Traditional research does a good job of capturing what stakeholders say but often misses the unconscious drivers, biases, emotions, and contexts that shape behavior. The result is an incomplete picture in the moments where clarity matters most, including when developing positioning strategies, planning product launches, and making major lifecycle decisions. "You don't need a survey to tell you that physicians see efficacy as the most important treatment decision driver," said Andrew Pilecki, Ph.D., Senior Market Research Director at Blue Matter. "What our clien

Bluefin, a global leader in payment and data security, and 934, a global provider of connected payment technology for the hospitality industry, today announced a partnership to integrate Bluefin’s payment security capabilities into Juno, 934’s hospitality payment platform. Juno is designed to connect those experiences through a unified hospitality payment environment. By incorporating Bluefin’s security technology into the platform architecture, 934 can provide customers globally with access to PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE) for card-present payments and tokenization for protecting sensitive payment data. The result is a security-first approach in which payment protection is bui

Visioneering Technologies' New Contact Lens Trial Shows Landmark Results in Slowing Children's Nearsightedness30.9.2026 14:59:00 CEST | Press Release

Visioneering Technologies, Inc. (VTI), a medical device company that designs and markets specialty contact lenses, will announce completed three-year results from PROTECT, a prospective, double-masked, multinational randomized controlled trial evaluating the company's NaturalVue® (etafilcon A) Multifocal 1 Day Contact Lens for slowing the progression of myopia, or nearsightedness, in children. Ashley Tuan, OD, MS, PhD, VTI's Chief Medical Officer, will present the full findings at the American Academy of Optometry's annual meeting in Anaheim. Myopia develops when a child's eye grows too long, causing distant objects to appear blurry, and it typically worsens through childhood. Faster progression is associated with a higher lifelong risk of more serious eye conditions, including retinal detachment and myopic maculopathy, a leading cause of permanent vision loss. Slowing that progression, even modestly, is considered clinically meaningful.3,4 Over three years, children who wore NaturalVu
