Eight GD32 product series supported on LVGL website

LVGL is an open-source graphical user interface framework designed for embedded devices, commercially supported by LVGL Ltd., a technology company based in Cambridge, UK. Lightweight, efficient, and cross-platform, it can be widely used in applications such as smart home devices, industrial control systems, consumer electronics, and automotive equipment. With its flexible graphics development capabilities and open ecosystem, LVGL has become one of the widely used open-source projects in the global embedded GUI development community.

This collaboration not only further connects GigaDevice's existing technical support for LVGL with the official LVGL ecosystem, but also provides developers with a clearer path: discover GD32, choose a development board, access project resources, and get started with LVGL development. This helps lower the barrier to developing LVGL applications with GD32.

Supporting Different Performance Levels for Diverse GUI Applications

LVGL has officially included eight GD32 product families in its supported development boards and ready-to-use projects, providing developers with a convenient entry point for GUI development.

The supported GD32 products cover different performance levels and application requirements, giving developers a broader range of hardware options for building embedded graphics applications with LVGL in areas such as smart terminals, industrial control, and consumer electronics.

With its broad product portfolio and LVGL's lightweight and efficient graphics capabilities, GD32 provides flexible options for GUI applications across different performance levels.

For high-performance GUI applications, products such as GD32H759, GD32F527, and GD32F470 offer strong processing performance along with extensive memory and display interface resources. They can support higher-resolution displays and are suitable for applications with demanding graphics and user interaction requirements, including high-end HMI systems, automotive instrument clusters, industrial control equipment, portable medical devices, and smart home products.

For mainstream GUI applications, products such as GD32F503, GD32F5HC, GD32W515, and GD32VW553 balance processing performance, memory resources, and display capabilities. They can support applications including home appliances, kitchen appliances, smart home devices, two-wheeler instrument clusters, consumer electronics, and industrial displays.

For small-size and cost-sensitive GUI applications, products such as GD32C231 provide flexible graphics display solutions for handheld devices, small appliances, wired controllers, and a wide range of consumer electronics products.

In terms of display interfaces, the eight supported GD32 product families cover RGB, 8080, and SPI interfaces, supporting different display specifications and system design requirements. GigaDevice will continue to expand support for display interfaces such as the DSI interface defined by MIPI and QSPI, providing developers with more options for GD32-based graphics applications.

In addition, some high-performance GD32 products integrate hardware acceleration modules such as IPA. By accelerating graphics processing through dedicated hardware, these modules can improve application execution efficiency and reduce CPU load, providing additional support for complex graphical interfaces and rich interactive experiences.

Developers can select the GD32 product that best fits their application requirements, achieving a balance between performance, functionality, and cost.

Continuing to Strengthen the Global Open-Source Ecosystem for GD32

In recent years, GigaDevice has continued to develop the global open-source ecosystem for GD32 MCUs by working with open-source communities and ecosystem partners around the world. These efforts cover software tools, operating systems, middleware, development frameworks, and other supporting capabilities.

The collaboration with LVGL is an important part of this ongoing effort. In addition to expanding support for more graphics application resources, the two companies will work together to develop practical reference solutions for HMI applications in areas such as industrial control and smart home devices.

At the toolchain level, GigaDevice will further work toward integrating PC-based GUI design tools with the GD32 development environment, with the goal of streamlining development workflows such as one-click UI project export and resource conversion. In terms of security, GigaDevice will explore GUI security practices for high-reliability applications by leveraging the hardware security capabilities of GD32. These efforts will help developers address both user interface requirements and device security needs, providing more comprehensive hardware and software development support for developers worldwide.

GigaDevice will also continue to pursue practical collaboration with LVGL and other major open-source communities, helping GD32 products and solutions become part of mature and open development ecosystems and further expanding GD32's reach among developers worldwide.

W. L. Gore & Associates Launches GORE® Battery Vents – MultiVent Series at the Battery Show12.10.2026 14:00:00 CEST | Press Release

Today, W. L. Gore & Associates (Gore) introduced GORE® Battery Vents – MultiVent Series at The Battery Show North America 2026, a new integrated venting architecture that combines all three functions into a single device. Designed for lithium-ion battery packs in electric vehicles and energy storage systems, GORE® MultiVent is an integrated battery vent: one device that equalizes pressure, protects against moisture and evacuates gas during thermal runaway, then reseals. It gives pack designers an alternative to combining dual-stage vents, separate evacuation valves and desiccants. This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20261012625188/en/ GORE® MultiVent GORE MultiVent builds on technology Gore acquired from Vernay Laboratories in 2026 and combines Gore membrane expertise with Vernay’s advanced valve technology. Battery pack designers have traditionally relied on multiple components to manage pressure equalization, mois
