Local Lund Enterprise Fights Violence in Europe

The FLAVIE project seeks to stop the increasingly shocking statistics. FLAVIE, is the combination of five partner groups: Tera – Maison de l’Europe de la Charente in France, Faal Dernegi in Turkey, ComeUnaMarea Onlus in Italy and Mujeres por Mujeres in Spain.

By working together to share important information, training, and expertise, the groups seek to achieve four goals to promote common values, raise awareness of fundamental rights, increase knowledge about women’s rights, and share practices and preventions.

Charlotte Meletli, co-founder of Mexpert, explained, “We are working to connect people, places, and communities and really want to make a difference.”

FLAVIE project, working primarily with Swedish women, will utilize many avenues from training workshops to animated films, to help women “facing violence and discrimination (feel) supported, in a respectful manner, in order to attain emancipation and empowerment.” 

Founder of Mexpert, Necmettin Meletli, summarized, “European Projects are a great way of sharing what we know with the rest of the world. Without it, the world would feel very small.”
