Uppsala Konsert & Kongress will host the International Society for the Performing Arts (ISPA) Congress 2027 in Uppsala. ISPA is widely regarded as an exclusive international meeting place for senior leaders and decision-makers in the performing arts sector.

Over four days, representatives from concert halls, theatres, dance companies, festivals, and other performing arts organizations from around the world will come together to discuss the present and future of the performing arts, exchange knowledge, and build new collaborations.

The congress programme will include panel discussions, seminars, informal conversations, site visits to selected performing arts organizations, and a wide range of world-class artistic performances.

“We are tremendously excited to welcome the international performing arts community to Uppsala. ISPA is a unique platform for informal dialogue, relationship-building, idea development, and future collaborations with some of the most influential leaders in the global performing arts sector,” says Henrik Lillsjö, CEO and Artistic Director of Uppsala Konsert & Kongress.

For the Swedish and Nordic performing arts community, the congress represents a unique opportunity to showcase their work, build international connections, and participate in conversations shaping the future of the performing arts—without having to travel halfway around the world.

“The most important collaborations often begin with a conversation. This is a unique opportunity to meet the world’s leading decision-makers on home ground, and we would therefore like to encourage everyone to reserve the dates 7–10 June 2027 in their calendars. These will be exciting and highly rewarding days,” says Henrik Lillsjö.

An additional “Stockholm Immersion Day” is planned for 11 June, offering delegates the opportunity to visit and engage with some of Sweden’s leading performing arts institutions in music, theatre, dance, and performance.
