Based in Finland and founded 200 years ago, today Nordea is a modern, digitally enabled bank. And this often requires them to send and receive high volumes of digital files. However, many files they had to process were optical or graphical in nature which was causing problems for Nordea’s document scanning systems. So, they wondered, “Can we integrate optical scanning to speed up processing?” And the answer was yes, thanks to intelligent automation.

Danish telecommunications provider, Nuuday, strives to deliver the best digital services and customer experience to its 5.9 million customers. They’re not afraid to challenge the status quo — and they use technology to do it. When they realized that outsourcing some of their financial services had ceased to benefit the company, they brought the work and, most importantly, the knowledge back to Denmark. To ease the transition, they turned to their team of SS&C Blue Prism digital workers.

One of Denmark’s largest pension companies is already experiencing the future. Blue Prism digital workers now make up 20% of Danica Pension’s workforce. And it is a digital workforce that's getting smarter each day through integrations with machine learning algorithms. Nordea - a 200-year-old bank in one of the most digitally sophisticated parts of the world – is no stranger to digital dynamism. It was delivering online banking services to millions before the turn of the millennium, when most the world was still mailing in checks. It was around this same time that it took the name ‘Nordea’, a contraction of the words ‘Nordic’ and ‘ideas’.

Sparebank 1 SamSpar is a Norwegian-based financial services organization supporting 10 smaller Norwegian banks within the Sparebank 1 system and providing products and services at collective scale.

The Norwegian Tax Administration (NTA) supports 5.4 million Norway citizens, raising funds to provide for necessary health, education, transportation services and more. Behind this organization are 7,500 employees working hard to assist their fellow citizens. A key responsibility for the Tax Administration is to determine a tax rate for each citizen, a task that, until recently, had to be done manually. To free employees from this manual work, NTA engaged a team of Blue Prism digital workers.

In Sweden, the name Riksbyggen is synonymous with property; the company has 430 locations across the country and manages 100,000 tenancy rights and 200,000 tenancies for 4,300 tenant-owner associations. When Riksbyggen made changes to its operations, it found that instead of using one bank account, it now needed 2,700 accounts. In the short term, this was being handled manually. Clearly Riksbyggen needed a more efficient solution. And it found one, thanks to intelligent automation.

Imagine the level of change that has occurred in banking over the last two hundred years. Nordea knows this transformation firsthand. Headquartered in Finland, today Nordea employs 30,000 to serve its 10 million customers. But having successfully navigated two centuries of change, acquiring over 300 banks along the way, Nordea was laboring under an exceedingly complex infrastructure. To remain competitive, they had to simplify and innovate. Their solution? A chatbot powered by intelligent automation.

Located on the west coast of Sweden, Mölndal is a municipality comprised of around 70,000 residents. When people living in Mölndal are unable to support themselves, the municipality provides social assistance. Of course, residents only request help once they’re in desperate need, but applications for social assistance could take three weeks to complete. Mölndal needed to find a faster way to get people the help they needed, so they brought in a team of Blue Prism digital workers.
