Until 12 December 2024, media professionals from all EU countries and Switzerland can submit entries online on the topics of migration, integration, cultural diversity and related issues of social cohesion. The CIVIS Media Prize honours outstanding achievements in television, radio, internet and social media that promote the peaceful coexistence of people from different geographical and cultural backgrounds. På dagens kommunstyrelsemöte behandlades ett medborgarinitiativ om att utesluta Israel ur Eurovision Song Contest som går av stapeln i maj i Malmö. Den senaste veckan har närmare trehundra engagerade Malmöbor mailat politiker i kommunstyrelsen för att visa sitt stöd för initiativet. Vänsterpartiet vill se solidaritet med det palestinska folket och föreslog att Malmöinitiativet skulle besvaras med två åtgärder.

The CIVIS Media Prize honours outstanding TV, radio and online productions that promote the peaceful coexistence between people from different geographical and cultural backgrounds. It is endowed with a total of 27,000 euros. New 2024: Productions that were first shown at a festival in the period from 21 January 2023 to 19 January 2024 can also be submitted for the CIVIS VIDEO AWARD. The productions, diverse in style and approach, deal with highly topical issues such as war in Ukraine, flight, labour migration, racism, anti-Semitism, anti-Ziganism, homeland and identity. Close to 900 productions from television, radio and the Internet were submitted for the CIVIS Competition 2023. They came from 22 EU states and Switzerland. This according to a study in low- and middle-income countries coordinated by the WHO on the initiative of researchers at Karolinska Institutet published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

Kontinuerlig hud-mot-hudkontakt med start direkt efter födelsen, redan innan barnet stabiliserats, kan minska dödligheten med 25 procent hos nyfödda med mycket låg födelsevikt.
