Swedish Federation of Wood and Furniture Industry (TMF) at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2023: Boundless Swedish Design – Swedish export investments in a borderless booth

Dela
After a two-year hiatus, Stockholm Furniture Fair, the world's largest meeting place for Scandinavian design, is making a comeback as a physical fair. TMF is at the fair all week with the export initiative Boundless Swedish Design – both in a physical booth and on a digital platform. Three seminars and a tour with the Minister of Foreign Trade are also arranged.

“We welcome the international audience to the fair by showcasing a number of export successes where Swedish furniture and interior design companies have inspired the international market. Our member companies are circular and innovative pioneers and push the boundaries in every possible way”, says Cecilia Ask Engström, Director Industrial Development at TMF.

Among the seminars that TMF is arranging, topics such as circularity, synergies in the industry and the ambitions and challenges to changing the industry towards a reduced climate footprint, are discussed. In addition, TMF will arrange a tour with the Minister of Foreign Trade, Johan Forssell.

“Despite the pandemic and global challenges, the industry exports roughly 75 percent of its production, so there is a lot for the Minister of Foreign Trade to take with him in his export promotion work”, says Cecilia Ask Engström.

From linear to circular, the green transition creates completely new business opportunities but also challenges when old truths are challenged.
